  • Do the cottages have fans?

    We do not have built in fans in the cottages. However, should you wish to have one in your cottage one can be brought for you. Please ask a member of staff for assistance.

  • Do you have security at the hotel?

    At Elephant Hab we have two armed police officers at the entrance. We have great support from the government of Uganda who provide the security offices at the lodge. As we are in Queen Elizabeth National Park we can sometimes have a visit from the animals. The police are armed for this reason and guest should not be alarmed should they hear gun shots in the night. If you have any concerns about your safety during your stay please do not hesitate to contact a member of staff right away.

  • How does Elephant Hab support the community around them?

    At Elephant Hab we support the surrounding communities in a number of different ways. All activities done around the Lodge continue to support the community. We offer different job opportunities for the youth from the surrounding community’s.

  • Do you offer a different rate for Residents?

    Yes! We offer all Residents a discounted rate. Our aim is to encourage travel and tourism across Africa.

  • Do you offer Massage at Elephant Hab?

    Yes. Our Therapy Hub offers a selection of different treatments at an additional cost. To find out more about what our hub has to offer please visit our facilities page.

  • Do you use Social Media?

  • Do you have a laundry service?

    Yes! All guests can access the laundry service at the lodge. This service is charged at a small additional cost. Please contact a member of staff to find out more.

  • Can we feed and pet the animals?

    During your stay at Elephant Hab you will see a number of Monkeys. The monkeys would love nothing more than to share a meal with you. However, please DO NOT feed them. We do our very best to ensure that the Monkeys keep their distance so feeding them would only encourage them to keep coming back for more.

  • Can I pay for my stay at the lodge?

    Yes! If you have not already paid online you can pay via visa or cash at the reception. Please note: if you are paying in cash you will be charged using the current exchange rate set by the lodge.

  • Can we have a camp fire?

    Yes! Guests are able to experience a camp fire during their stay. However, to ensure that this id done safely all guests must speak to a member of staff before doing so. Our team will then ensure that you are set up in an appropriate spot.

  • How far is the lodge from the park?

    The lodge is located on the periphery of the famous Kyambura Gorge in Queen Elizabeth National Park. This is a big advantage to our guests as we are only 10 minutes away from the Park gates. However, as you drive to the gate of the park you will see a number of animals along your way.

  • How do I get to Elephant Hab?

    The lodge can be accessed through Kampala -Mbarara highway, as one heads further south to Bushenyi, and Ishaka driving through the scenic tea plantations. Once entering Kyambura town, you enter Kyambura town and take the first marum road turning on the right. Continue driving for 100 meters, then turn left at our hotel sign just after the first fuel pump and proceed for 100 meters to the lodge (distance approximately 378 km (6 hours)

    The lodge can also be accessed through Kampala – Fort portal highway. Proceed to Kasese and then onto the Kazinga Channel and enter Kyambura town, just as you enter Kyambura town take your first marum road turning on the left. Continue driving 100 meters, then turn left at our hotel sign just after the first fuel pump and proceed for 100 meters to the lodge (distance approximately 420km (7-8 hours)
